Wildlife Release Co-ordinator

Ensuring the release of our wildlife casualties into safe and appropriate habitats and where possible monitoring them post release is an essential part of our work. Very few, if any, other wildlife centres employ a release co-ordinator, this is a unique and exciting role for the right person.

The Release Coordinator will provide high quality animal care and take the lead in assuring the quality of Secret World’s Animal Care Services, with a specific responsibility for the co-ordination of an effective wildlife animal release programme.   The welfare of animals to be paramount at all times.

Salary:                  £17,675 per annum

Hours:                   40 hours per week on average.  Postholder expected to work flexibly and understand to work proportionately a higher number of hours in the summer period

Probation:             6 month probationary period

Holidays:              22 days per annum plus Bank Holidays (pro rata)

Pension:               Auto-enrollment from 1 January 2016
