An Introduction to Wildlife Rescue, Rehabilitation and Release is a stand-alone text that also acts as a companion to the popular Secret World Wildlife Rescue ‘Wildlife Rehabilitation and Release’ courses. The book covers all parts of the wildlife rehabilitation process, from rescue, through examination, first aid and rehabilitation, to release and post-release monitoring. Care of both orphans and adults, including their feeding and appropriate accommodation, is described in detail for a range of common British birds and mammals, with information also on reptiles and amphibians. Due consideration is also given to relevant legislation, health & safety and record keeping. The book will be of interest to all those involved in wildlife care, including wildlife rehabilitators, students in related disciplines and veterinary professionals.
