Trustees (specifically with academic and/or veterinary knowledge about wildlife, and HR)

Are you ready for a new challenge and passionate about helping to protect and preserve Britain’s Wildlife?

Are you ready to apply and share your professional skills in a rewarding voluntary capacity?

Secret World Wildlife Rescue is a registered charity that rescues, rehabilitates and releases Britain’s orphaned, injured and sick wildlife. It is a unique 24/7 service in the South West and helps over 5,000 casualties every year from its base near Highbridge, Somerset.

Secret World Wildlife Rescue is transforming into a modern, professional charity that delivers a high standard of animal care, a unique educational offering and shares its expertise with other care professionals. The last few years have put in place the cornerstones of good governance at every level of the charity, so the next few years can be about extending the reach and the impact of the Secret World brand.

The Charity is undergoing structural change to professionalize and set operational and financial strategies. We have a high profile Capital Appeal in process and the Board of Trustees will hold a pivotal role in ensuring the ambitious plans are delivered.

Whilst broad business and management skills are welcome, we are particularly interested to hear from those with a substantial track record in the areas of academic and/or veterinary knowledge about wildlife, and human resources, who may wish to use this opportunity as a means of further personal and professional development.

If you want to add working as a Charity Trustee to your professional portfolio and help deliver an inspirational rescue and rehabilitation service for British wildlife, this could be for you. Secret World has huge potential…let’s turn that into a reality.

Please submit your CV together with a short supporting statement to: trustees@secretworld.org
