Sponsored Beach Walk

The Ritz Social Club in Burnham-on-Sea named us as their 2023 Charity of the Year, and as part of their commitment to raise £8,000 for wildlife they are co-organising a very exciting beach walk!
It’s a long time since we’ve run a mass participation event, and we hope you can join us for this one. Starting from the Ritz, you can sign up to walk either:
- Burnham Beach Lighthouse and return – approx. 1.7 miles
- Berrow Beach Café and return – approx. 6.8 miles
- Brean Down National Trust Café and return – approx. 12.3 miles

It’s free to register and we have no minimum sponsorship amount. Just sign up and do your best! It’s a family-friendly event and sponsored dogs are very welcome. Refreshments will be provided by the Ritz at the registration point. Fancy dress encouraged, let’s try to fill the beach with colourful and wacky outfits!
Toilets are available at The Ritz, and on the walk there are public toilets at Berrow Beach (underneath Sundowner Café) and at the National Trust Brean Down Café.
There are a few public pay and display car parks in Burnham-on-Sea:
- Oxford Street Car Park, opposite Lidl, roughly 5 minute walk, £5 all day
- High Street Car Park, roughly 8 minute walk, £5 all day
- Pier Street Long Stay Car Park, by B&M, roughly 9 minute walk, £5.50 all day. Please note this is next to a short stay car park, check signs before parking
On the day, please make your way to The Ritz Social Club to sign-in between 10am and 11am. We’ll give you a number and answer any questions you have.

Once you’re signed up, we’ll send you a sponsorship form and our special JustGiving event link so you can accept online donations. Please don’t start fundraising until you’ve heard from us!
