An introduction to animal welfare law, science and ethics
Liz Mullineaux
This lecture was first presented at training week in November 2019 and was booked to be repeated as a lunchtime talk this April. As the title suggests, it will introduce the subjects of animal welfare law, welfare science and ethics and get everyone thinking about how we can apply these ideas to the animals we live with and rescue. Liz, who is Secret World Wildlife Rescue’s Scientific Advisor teaches this subject to undergraduate veterinary nurses.
What’s happening on site
Video clips and photos by Simon Kidner
What is actually happening onsite at Secret World? Although we have reduced staff and a reduced number of animals on site, the animal carers are still working hard to care for sick and injured animals and the many orphans we have at this time of year. Through video clips and photos Simon will show you just a little of what is going on behind the scenes.
