How to donate your items

You don’t have to make a cash donation to help Secret World Wildlife Rescue care for British wildlife. We gladly accept donated items, so if you’re having a clear-out and find something we could sell or want to send us something we can use to assist our work, we’d love to hear from you.

Donating items to sell

We are able to accept donated items – new or preloved – at our charity shops. All we ask is that items are clean and in a resaleable condition. If you’ve got any bulky items, or a large quantity of items to donate, please call ahead so we can make arrangements. Contact details for our shops can be found on our Charity Shops page.

If you have any large items please let us know in advance so we can advise whether we currently have space for them. In some circumstances we may be able to collect the items from you, please feel free to enquire when you get in touch.

Donating items to support our work

If you would prefer to donate something for the animals in our care, we gladly accept donated food, bedding and toys. Our Amazon wishlist is a great place to start, which allows you to purchase items online for delivery to our centre. We don’t mind where you order donations from, but our wishlist is updated regularly and it’s a good place to see what we’re most in need of.

We have a donation drop-off point outside our reception where gifts can be left any time between 8am – 8pm. If you have a favourite animal, the following are always useful to us:

  • Dog meat (any variety)
  • Dog biscuits (any variety)
