Secret World Wildlife Rescue is delighted to announce that tickets are now on sale for our 2026 education sessions!
Next year’s programme includes a full range of events designed to help young people connect with nature, learn about British wildlife, and discover the work of our dedicated rescue centre here in Somerset.
We will once again be running our popular Home Educator Days, alongside Wild Academy sessions for children in mainstream education. Each session includes a mix of talks and hands-on activities, encouraging curiosity, confidence, and care for the natural world.
The first session of the season, Wild Academy: Helping Hedgehogs, takes place on Tuesday 28 October 2025. Children will learn all about these much-loved animals and even have the chance to build a hedgehog house to take home.
Further sessions throughout the year will explore topics including minibeasts, moths and mammals, countryside walks, and the work that goes into rescuing and caring for wildlife.
“Our education sessions give young people the opportunity to get outdoors, discover wildlife first-hand, and develop a lasting appreciation for the natural world,” said George Bethell, Head of Education and Public Relations. “We are proud to offer experiences that inspire the next generation of wildlife carers and conservationists.”
All sessions are led by our experienced educators at Secret World Wildlife Rescue in East Huntspill. For animal welfare reasons, there is no direct contact with the wild animals in our care, but participants can enjoy interactive and educational activities designed to bring wildlife learning to life.
