Postponed in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Ceva Animal Welfare Awards took place on 26th March 2021. It was an all-virtual affair but still had the glitz and glam of a regular awards show with a very impressive production and smartly-dresses presenters.

We all sat at home in our tuxedos (not really, it was a Friday night and most of us were in our pyjamas!) with a little glass of something nice to watch the ceremony online. There were a few tears at the sad and heart-warming animal stories, a few laughs with some of the more colourful winners, and finally a few cheers from the Secret World team as the Charitable Contribution of the Year category came up.

This was Pauline’s category and she was up against some really inspirational animal welfare heroes. The judges recognised Pauline’s incredible contribution to the welfare of wild animals and we are pleased to announce that she won the award!

Pauline has dedicated most of her life to giving orphaned and injured wildlife a second chance at life and our charity would not exist without her hard work. We all know she’s amazing and it’s so nice to have her efforts recognised in this way.

Thank you to Ceva and everyone else involved for organising this event, and for recognising Pauline’s contribution. You can read more about the rest of the winners and watch their submission videos here: https://www.cevawelfare.com/winners and see Pauline’s video below.
