Gannet Ready to Launch
This Gannet was recently rescued after being blown inland. Feeding well and showing no signs of injury, we are hopeful tha we should be able to release it after its next assessment. Probably the most spectacular of North Atlantic Seabirds, the Gannet has a number of interesting adaptations, including a lack of external nostrils enabling it to dive headfirst into the sea at speeds of up to 60mph!
